ICOMOS GA 2023 "Heritage Changes:

Resilience – Responsibility – Rights – Relationships"

September  4th - 8th 2023, Sydney


21st Triennial General Assembly of ICOMOS from 31 August – 9 September 2023, International Convention Centre (ICC Sydney), Sydney

The core General Assembly will occur between 4 and 8 September 2023 within an exciting ten day program of site visits, workshops, lectures, expert meetings and social gatherings. Venues will include the World Heritage listed Sydney Opera House, Cockatoo Island / Wareamah, Hyde Park Barracks and Greater Blue Mountains amongst a wide variety of other Aboriginal and colonial cultural places. 

"The theme of the four-day Scientific Symposium: ‘Heritage Changes: Resilience – Responsibility – Rights – Relationships’, reflects the tumultuous changes taking place in the world, but also a positive message about the role of our heritage in supporting rapid recovery and inclusive approaches."

Polar Science, Technology, Archaeology, and Heritage Conference: 11 and 12 April 2024

This pioneering conference will explore how to enhance the integration of polar scientific research and heritage conservation in the context of a changing global climate.

To encourage global participation, the physical conference in Aotearoa New Zealand, is scheduled to link in the Americas on the evening of the 11th of April, and Europe on the morning of the 12th of April 2024.
